Local Boy Scout Seeks Donations to Refurbish Dog Walking Area at the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter for Eagle Project

Local Boy Scout, Daniel Mountain, has chosen to restore the dog walking area at the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter for his Eagle Project.  Many of the dogs that come into the shelter have little to no leash skills.  To help them have the best chance of getting adopted, volunteers teach the dogs how to behave on a leash.  Restoring the path will give the dogs a place to “practice” walking on a sidewalk. Dan needs $1,400.00 to restore the Dog Walking Area. Riikola Construction has recently agreed to donate free labor to the Shelter Project once all monies have been raised.  Any extra money raised over the $1,400.00 will go to the shelter to provide gas cards for the transport van.
